Hello, I'm Jess Francis.
Ā
I'veĀ always been curious about technology and how it can make life better. When I was eight, I sat with my dad dreaming up a robot, and that same creativity has guided me ever since.
As an occupational therapist, I've carried that curiosity into every part of my career, exploring how innovation can simplify work, support clinicians and create more impact for clients. Today, throughĀ The Training Club, I help allied health proefssionals and organisations apply technology with purpose, bridging the gap between clinical practice and practical innovation.

Why I Do This Work
When I was eight, I sat with my dad designing a robot to clean the house. That early fascination with technology planted the seeds for a lifelong curiosity about innovation and how it can solve real-world problems.
As an occupational therapist, that same curiosity and drive to challenge the status quo have guided every step of my career, always asking how we can do things better, smarter and more creatively.
Over the past 15+ years, I’ve worked across diverse settings including community aged care, inpatient rehabilitation, disability employment, workplace rehabilitation and the NDIS (Australia's disability scheme). These experiences gave me a deep understanding of the challenges allied health professionals face in delivering quality care within complex systems.
Along the way, I’ve led and scaled organisations, co-founded a digital-health startup and helped grow an allied-health practice from inception to more than 200 staff in two years, achieving both financial and operational milestones.
Through it all, one belief has stayed constant: technology has the power to transform care, not just by saving clinicians time, but by creating genuine impact for clients. I’ve seen how tools like virtual reality and artificial intelligence can break down barriers, increase equity and make support more accessible to those who need it most.
This passion for fairness and innovation led me to complete a Master of Science with research focused on virtual reality and to immerse myself in the emerging field of AI. In recent years, I’ve dedicated my work to helping allied-health professionals harness these tools, not just to thrive in their roles, but to drive better outcomes for clients and create a more equitable future for healthcare.
Through The Training Club, I now bring together these experiences, from clinical practice to leadership and tech innovation, to make change practical, ethical and human. Whether through webinars, consulting, courses or mentoring, my mission is to help clinicians embrace technology confidently and shape the future of care.
At The Training Club, everything starts with purpose.
We believe technology should make care fairer, more human and more sustainable, empowering clinicians, strengthening communities and creating lasting impact for the people we support.
